Six (6) Qualities of Good Political Leaders (#015)

Vote wisely!

The schedule for National and Local Election here in the Philippines is fast approaching.  For many people deciding which political candidate to vote in the Election, it’s a really a matter to think about, thinking of who they will going to vote in the election day.

The right to suffrage or vote in our country is a matter of right, through this Election new Leaders will be chosen to lead our country.

Assuming that, you are a voter’s thinking who you will going to choose on the Election Day. You can check out the characteristic of a good political leaders if said candidates possess.

Here are the Five(5) characteristics of  a good political leaders.

    1. Honesty and Integrity.A political leader must be truthful or able to be trusted.  Honesty develops character and builds credibility and trust, which are the foundation to evoke confidence and respect from those around you, and in the case of political leaders, teammates and constituents. Integrity the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It is a synonym for honesty and uprightness, and is a vital characteristic for those in political leadership. Political leaders who possess integrity can be trusted because he or she never veers from inner values, even when it might benefit them to do so.

 2. Compassion. A strong feeling of sympathy and sadness for the suffering or bad luck of others and a wish to help them It is the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something to alleviate that suffering. Good political leaders use compassion to see the needs of those he or she leads and to determine the course of action that would be of greatest benefit to all those involved.

  3. Confidence. The quality of being certain of your abilities or of having trust in people, plans, or the future.  A good political leader needs to be both confident in himself or herself as well in their ability to lead.  Leaders who possess this quality inspire others, drawing on a level of trust which sparks the motivation to get others on board and get the job done.

     4. Flexibility. the quality of being able to change or be changed easily according to the situation.  Good politicians listen carefully to all sides, to not only hear their arguments but to especially learn what it will take on behalf of all parties involved to reach a consensus. This characteristic allows political leaders to recognize setbacks and criticism, to learn from them and move forward. 

     5. A good communicator. A leader must a good communicator so that task he/she can pass his vision and goal to achieve to his subordinates. A words have power to motivate people.

     6. Decision Making Capabilities. A Leader must have the ability to make decision at the right time. A leader must think about the decision he/she going to make then when it comes that said decision was made, he/she must know how to stand for it.

 Political leaders must have all of these qualities. A leader must set as good example to others to follow you. Honesty, Integrity, Compassion and compassion contribute foundation attributes as a leader. A good communicator and Decision Making Capabilities played a vital role of a leader for success.

For all men and women voters  of Republic of the Philippines, participate for this incoming National and Local Election 2019 ”Halalan 2019”…The choices are on your hand of whom the political leaders who will lead our country. So time to review and evaluate your list and vote wisely.
