The month of December the 12th month of a year…what the highlight every December? …Its Christmas Time… 

 What is the real meaning of Christmas by the way?…  

 What is Christmas?
Well…Christmas is  an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. It is the Commemoration of the Nativity of Jesus. We usually celebrate Christmas by Gift-giving and family and social gatherings or even simple greetings to people we meet as “Merry Christmas". Christmas can be a season of great joy. It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. We celebrate Christmas when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event.


          As practice by Filipinos, usually putting Christmas decoration at their house like lantern and Christmas tree, attending the mass that start on December 16 known as the “simbang gabi ” but it not literally not a mass at night but an early mass  at 4:00 AM until December 24. Other people spending a lot of money for buying gift and celebrating Christmas as their Thanks giving or love offering for the blessing they received the whole year to the extent that they spend a lot of money for such celebration and others also think that Christmas is sorrow for them due to they don’t have extra money to buy gift, foods and toys for their children and those people spending Christmas with the absence of their love ones during this season.

          But Christmas is real sign of great joy to celebrate, because God sent His son Jesus to us so that one day, He would grow up to become a very important part of history. His story is one of truth, love, and hope. It brought salvation to all of us. Without Jesus, we would all die in our sins.  That the true essence of Christmas to celebrate….not material thing…we celebrated Christmas because Jesus love us…
