If you already visit my blog site at lorvigilia.blogspot.com/Everything blog by L.O.R.E.L.I.E on my previous blog on What we can do to contribute to women empowerment as an individual you have already an idea of what to do to help to empower women.

Today, as the month of March about to end, it thus not meant that our support on the advocacy for women empowerment also end… It must be continue throughout the year, until we attain our goals and purpose to achieve to empower women and specifically those women in the silver lining.  Women empowerment must be with continuity. We must joint hand in hand to apply it into our day to day activities.

Both gender must have a true compassion and the real change can only be achieve when women and men work together to have an environment to empower all gender.

This year 2019 National Women Month Celebration theme “We Make Change Work for Women”. It connotes that all gender must participate in the advocacy in order to achieve changes in terms of well being of women’s in the society.

According to Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), the agency tasked for Gender equality and women’s empowerment. This  theme stand for:

We stands for Women’s Empowerment. Empowering women enables them to confidently and meaningfully engage with appropriate institutions to ensure that they contribute to and benefit from development and changes. Thus, women’s empowerment will make the change that we are espousing or any development effort responsive of women’s concerns.
Make Change Work- Magna Carta of Women (MCW). It means making change work for women necessitates strengthening the implementation of the MCW at all levels. It means putting in place functional mechanisms as well as implementing and making known to citizens, programs and services that address strategic gender needs of women.
Change, it also means Compassionate and Harmonized Actions and Networks for Gender Equality.
We / us or “kami / tayo” in Filipino. It means who is going to pave the way for an enabling environment for women to be empowered? Who is going to ensure that the MCW is implemented at all levels. Who is going to make change work for women? It all of us, in our various capacities whether as government officials and employees, members of the private sector, the academe, non-government organizations, or as private individuals can be partners for a change that is gender-responsive. It emphasizes our collective effort, collaboration and participation to ensure that women will not be left behind in the pursuit of change.

Though participation in the activity or advocacy being conducted in our community has great help to have awareness on gender issues, updates on Important laws for women and at the same time we can acquire knowledge in this activity.

All women must be active in participating in bringing positive changes and they must work for themselves to have development. If we want changes we must undergone effort to achieve it.

Let us continue to become an instrument of change and become the change which we envision to see…
