What we can do to contribute for women empowerment (#011)

If you already read my previous blog article on Women Empowerment: Its meaning and definition. You already an ideas what is women empowerment about.  

Now, this blog will focused on what we can contribute for the empowerment of women as an individual.

Empowering women, took a lot of effort, you will realized that Women empowerment will require a lot of process to achieve.

Most probably you will think that it will not be easy to empower women. Yes empowering women is really a long process.  However not to look on that process, let take a look on the simple way to address the challenges on empowerment of women.

As individual we can contribute women empowerment  by simply conforming that women in the society are not considered to be dependent on someone. Women has individual skill and capacity to contribute progress in our society.

We can contribute in our level by simply changing our belief or judgment that women are weak. Some people think that women are weak  or have low level  ability than men.

We can contribute to empower women by changing the perception that woman can only do limited function in a society.  

We must accept that women has equal right. By treating everybody as equal in the society. The women have equal right with men. We need to change our views regarding girls or women as they are not only made for household function.

We can contribute to women empowerment by starting on our own family, by teaching our children equality and discipline. Women empowerment cannot be possible without the support of other people. It start from our family.

We must break the perception that women are weak and men are strong. How you can say that everyone is equal in terms of right if in their minds women are tag as weak person. Some people  believe it because on their early age, society teach  them that a woman is like that.  Which now need to be change. This instance contribute on the fact that women is being victim of abused because she think that she is weak, treating her as target of violence. That is why she suffered gender base violence which society teach them, that woman are like that. A norm that passes from generation to generation that needed to be change.

We can also contribute to women empowerment by educating ourselves, by knowing our rights and fight for our rights.

Above all, to contribute to women empowerment we need respect for both gender. Respect to our self and respect the right of others. Women empowerment in order to achieve we need cooperation from the community….Men are belong to the community…therefore we need the support and cooperation of men because they were playing crucial role in bringing gender equality. Women empowerment is not mean overpowering men. That women must know and understand.

Remember that we are fighting for our equality to be empower not to overpower men. Both sexes need respect. So respect each other.
