Women empowerment: It’s importance

Today advocacy on empowering women and girls was being in the community. Promoting women empowerment realized that empowerment is important for the benefits of the society as a whole. Not to overpower men but to educate the general public the advantage of empowered women in the society.

1. Women empowerment reduce the under-employment and unemployment

Women empowerment will open an opportunities for women to work and earn for a living. Nowadays business establishment, government agencies/offices now requires mandatory percentage of a women employee. Thus it will give opportunities to unemployed women and lessen the under-employed in our country.                               

2. Women empowerment recognizing that women are equally intelligent

Women empowerment lead to recognized that women are equally intelligent to men.  Women are equally competent but often times even ahead of men in several socio-economic fields, thus making their presence in any aspects is important.  

3. Women empowerment serve as storehouse of talent

Women empowerment is essential today because earlier, women were not allowed to receive higher education, the society in previous time were different. But now the times have changed. Women take up the same responsibilities as men and do a wonderful job in showcasing their talents when given an opportunity to.

4. Women empowerment promote an overall development of society

Gender shouldn’t be an unreasonable aspect determining potential candidates from performing where they ought to. This shall not only prove advantageous to the women concerned but also to the society that should in no way be deprived of adequate development.

5. Women empowerment grant women economic independence

Every individual requires living an independent life free of domination. Women empowerment is hence also crucial in fostering economic independence among women who depend on their husbands for their daily needs, subjecting themselves to the possibility of maltreatment. This is unfair to them, given that they have the capacity to perform and add to the economic benefits of the society apart from exhibiting economic independence themselves.   

6.  Women empowerment reduce scope of domestic violence and sexual exploitation

When independence is acquired all sorts of Violence against to women and girl can be stop. Maltreatment includes domestic violence and sexual exploitation even in marriage. Other people believe in the old practice that women are weak and men are strong that lead to maltreatment to women and being subject for Gender base violence. We must accept that women are equal in terms of rights. Women and girls deserved love and respect not to take advantage of their vulnerability to abuse them.

7. Women empowerment reduce Poverty

While women empowerment serves in granting economic independence to women, it also serves in contributing to the economic benefits of the household and the society as a whole. Men working alone to earn for a living can be too much to bear, that is why to helping each other and to share the burden of one another to provide for a better living condition to their family members  is important.      

8.  Women empowerment realize the advantage prospect of women over men

Certain jobs in fact can’t reach up to their best capacities without the participation of women. It is the very sentiment of nurturing, softness and warmth in some women that is necessary in fields like Non Governmental Organizations, Nursing, teaching and other similar sorts of jobs where along with the participation of men, female involvement is vital for the smooth functioning of the system in order to achieve the ideals they seek to achieve.

                    “Those people having an ill-feeling on advocacies, programs and laws to protect women and girls in the community. This is not to in favor women and girls nor to be unfair to other gender especially to men but purposely to uplift the status of women and girl.”
